2012 THEME: SEX AND SKINNY
Numerous research studies have indicated an important link between sexual issues and eating issues along the continuum, including anorexia, bulimia, exercise addiction and emotional eating. As a Christian organization we know that the Church has often been less than helpful when it comes to addressing sexual issues. For Christians struggling with these issues, or for clinicians trying to help them, it is important to get honest so that we can heal. This year we’ve invited some of the top voices in this conversation to present. They come from a distinctly Christian perspective but offer clinically proven and balanced views and tools.
Clinical and Community Tracks Available To help balance the combination of folks who attend HFH, separate professional and community tracks are incorporated into the conference, with some mixed general sessions. There are also a few professional networking opportunities built in during mealtimes to give additional opportunities for community members and professional members to get to know those in their respective tracks.
worshipART At FINDINGbalance we believe that healing can occur through worship and the arts. Our worshipART element is woven throughout the entire event. From worship services to art therapy to fun, “inner child” coloring moments, our goal is to allow God to awaken our spirits and refresh our souls as we worship Him and explore the creativity He’s given us.
