June 4–6, 2010
OVERVIEW
Come away to beautiful Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs to be refreshed and renewed while learning from great speakers including author John Townsend, PhD (Boundaries, Safe People), Travis Stewart, LPC (Remuda Ranch), Misty Rees, CEDS (Selah House), author John Lynch (TrueFaced) and musical guest JJ Heller.
THE SETTING
Nestled in the beautiful Garden of the Gods, Glen Eyrie is a key destination for those seeking physical, emotional and spiritual renewal. Conference General Sessions are hosted in a turn-of-the-century castle surrounded by beautiful grounds and wildlife. Guestrooms are available in the castle as well as in other buildings throughout the property.
You’ll be immersed in nature, your cell phone probably won’t work, and there won’t be a TV in your room. In our fast-paced culture, a respite from the chaos is often just what’s needed to recharge and refresh. Can’t be without your computer? Don’t worry. There are internet connections in the rooms as well as a business center to keep you connected with the outside world.
THE EVENT
Hungry for Hope was founded in 2007 through a partnership between Glen Eyrie and Remuda Ranch, and has quickly become the premiere Christian conference for eating disorders and body image issues. Now hosted by FINDINGbalance, the conference continues to evolve as a key equipping event for professionals and lay leaders alike.
New for 2010 is an expanded team of professionals and presenters as well as a brand new “community track” featuring workshops uniquely directed to those who have been impacted by eating disorders in a personal way (see schedule).
YOUR HOST AND THEME

Constance Rhodes is the Founder and CEO of FINDINGbalance, a faith-based health and wellness organization with an emphasis on eating and body image issues, and co-founder of The True Campaign. She is the author of Life Inside the Thin Cage and The Art of Being (Waterbrook/Shaw). Her latest release Finding Balance with Food is a 12-week curriculum specially designed for churches, colleges, and small group counseling settings. Constance is a frequent guest on national TV and radio, including PBS, Focus on the Family, American Family Radio and The Harvest Show. Whether speaking to thousands alongside noted Christian speakers such as Kay Arthur, George Barna, and Priscilla Shirer, or leading the Fb Gathering small group at Fb’s community wellness center in Franklin, Tennessee, Constance’s passion for sharing a message of truth, hope and freedom is consistent, contagious, and most of all, easily accessible by the millions of people who long for freedom from the scale.
This year’s conference focuses on the importance of relationship, with a particular emphasis on how authenticity in our relationships with God, self, others, our bodies, and yes, even food, can pave the way to freedom from eating disorders and body image issues.
