 Jesus taught the disciples about the importance of solitude and rest in the Christian walk. Jesus himself retreated from the crowds alone to commune with His Father in prayer. If Jesus needed it, how much more then do we need it? Yet, how often do we actually make time to go to a quiet place to meet with our Creator?
Innovo is a Latin verb which literally means "to be made new." God’s heart for us is to be re-newed, and reminded of how good He is, and who we are as His children. An Innovo spiritual retreat can do wonders for your perspective, your pace of life, and your relationship with God and others. Whether you're in the process of making a big decision or just need time alone to slow down and reflect, we welcome you to retreat at Glen Eyrie.
Your time begins on Sunday, and you may stay for one, two, or three nights. You may come at 3 p.m. and your retreat ends at 3 p.m. the day you leave. At least two nights is recommended if your schedule allows it, to slow down and get to a place of listening.
The following are options to assist you in your retreat experience:
- A notebook with tools, quotes, and guidance on prayer
- A private lodging room* and a peaceful meeting place with books you can borrow
- Trained facilitators leading morning and evening gatherings
- Morning worship and communion available at night
- Guidance in simple prayer, meditative prayer, prayer of adoration, and more
- Beautiful and inspiring grounds and trails, including a 6 station prayer journey
*If you come as a couple, you can stay with your spouse if you prefer
Take advantage of them as you see fit. There's no agenda, no schedule to meet—these things are all optional. This time of retreat is really all about what you need, whether that's an invigorating hike, time to sit and reflect, or simply another afternoon nap! You are free to do as God leads but we are here to help and direct you with time-tested tools.
